A dog’s sense of smell is legendary, but did you know that his nose has as many as 300 million receptors? In comparison, a human nose has about 5 million.

We are on what my mom calls a 90% "raw food" diet.
There is so much information out there and different ways of eating a raw food diet that we will get into later. But for now, I just want to give my take on the different foods we eat.
This is Freshpet. The one my mom gets comes in rolls but they are also available in bags.
Personally, this is #4 on my list of favorite "purchased" dog food. This is made of fresh whole ingredients - meats and vegetables. Technically it isn't raw but gently steamed cooked so it locks in all the nutrients we need.
There are a few different recipes: chicken, beef, multiprotein, chicken & turkey just to name a few.
I give this one a 4 out of 5 paws
There are several different "purchased" food options our mom gets for us.
This next one is from Farmers Dog.
As I mentioned before we will get into all these more.
This is just about my personal ratings. Not that I don't LOVE ALL FOOD!!!!!
The Farmers Dog is made with human-grade ingredients, again not raw food but gently steamed to help keep the maximum nutrients.
Looks fresh. They use fresh muscle and organ meats, fresh whole vegetables for fiber to keep us regular, fresh green vegetables with antioxidants for our health, and high-quality supplemental nutrients, like fish oil. It’s Human-Grade, filled with Omega-3s, and really tasty!
I give this one a 5 out of 5 paws
